VIBRATION ANALYSIS
MTS offer vibration monitoring and periodic vibration testing as part of our preventive maintenance service. An increase over the baseline vibration level can be caused by a number of factors including electromagnetic or mechanical imbalance, loose components, rubbing parts, bearing failure, or resonance.
By analysing the vibration signature we can identify rectify developing issues before they cause costly plant failures.

Premature bearing failure reduces the service life of your plant. However, early fault detection mitigates both impact and cost of excessive bearing wear. Our SKF and FAG recognised bearing testing service interrogates bearing resonance frequencies to establish the BCU, highlighting abnormal wear as well as providing insights into the overall health of the rest of the gearbox and couplings.
